I’ll be the first to admit I am in no way an Internet-savvy member of the fast moving Millennial Generation. Sure, I’m addicted to YouTube, I’m on Facebook, I have Instant Messenger, and of course, I’m on Gmail and Gchat. I recently signed up for Twitter, and I’m trying to become better at using wikis and other user-modified web platforms. I can’t say I’m an expert, and I can’t say I’m a hopeless dope—all I can say is I’m trying.
All too often it seems as if I can’t keep pace with all the interactive tools the Internet lays before me. Of course, I recognize the value each one brings to the table, but I’m finding it harder and harder to cut through all the clutter. I’d love to be connected with all of them, and I’d love to devote equal time to their engagement. But alas, there’s only 24 hours in the day, and I have much more to do with my life than be trapped to a computer or Blackberry every second of the day (No disrespect to the “Crackberry” addicts out there!).
